About: "Tall Wall" is a short animation written and directed by Bea Qian. It depicts the stories hidden underneath a smallpox epidemic. Through the CCTVs and webcams, we see the stories of the citizens in Las Nieves, a fictional city in lockdown, unfold throughout the film. The "Tall Wall" in this title implies not only the walls that lock this city up because of the smallpox outbreak, but also the disconnection between people. In this film, you will tour the intriguing world of "Tall Wall" with the unignorable presence of CCTV everywhere, the metabolic buildings that grow higher and higher, and the constant humblings of the air conditioner, as the people underneath continue to sophicate.

About: In this music video templated from Damian Rice’s ‘It Takes a lot to Know a Man‘, I used characters and stories from Greek mythologies to reflect a discussion between modern human life and the myth of Sisyphus. My vision is to create an artistic montage these myths combining with modern life’s scenes. I call it: ‘A 4-minutes duration of thoughts and feelings flowing and reacting with each other.’

About: A girl who found out that her best friend who she has been ‘Online Dreaming‘ together for couple of years has already dead. Before that, their connection was only through online, and she had no idea that this person wasn’t ‘real‘ for the past two years…
The girl steps on her way to discover the truth behind this ‘digital life‘, which eventually brings her to the question of what defines life and death exactly.
Fighting Reel (2023)

About: The first part of the project is from capstone film ‘Her Blade‘ directed by Sam Broadwater. The first part is the practice between two main characters where we establish their skill level and bond with each other. The second part is the end fight sequence where our main character is fighting the mutant of her lover, which was the short-hair girl we see in the first part.
The third part of the reel is a 3D animation reference and shot re-design from a live-action fight previz.
“Verity” Montage Sequence (2022)

About: ‘Verity’ is a student 3D animation film project directed by Vane Huang. In this sequence, the newbie Billy (the character with hat) is slowly performing better than Abba, which starting to make Abba jealous and upset. My goal is to portray this slight change in their relationship and establish a hidden conflict before we going into the next sequence of revealing the boss that they want to defeat.
